Week 37

hello po

Next week I get to Skype home and I am way way excited because I just realized that's it's almost Christmas because the Christmas music and decorations have been up since September here.

It was low key a way hard week with not much free time with all the activities going on and some difficulties with ward communication, but I have no real reason to be upset because of course it's not about me. I am just happy I get to be here and serve and also Skype home next week.

The old companionship of Elder Sills and Elder Hamilton in our kabahay are both gone and it went from 3 Americans in the house to now me being the only american haha, but we're still working hard and a bunch of baptisms are coming up, but tagalog is now times 2.

That's it. You know whats next.

I chopped off a chicken head last pday and we ate it

Week 36

Way blessed this week with huge huge success with our investigators.

So many of you may not know, but for missionaries back in the day their bigger focus was on teaching men and baptizing families, but recently that has changed completely because is was not as successful as some others ideas. The idea came from Elder Dallin H. Oaks to focus on YOUTH and YOUNG ADULTS. These Millennials are in a crucial time of their life because they are now independent, self reliant, and are searching for answers for their upcoming difficult journey. This group of people are way willing to change and work hard.

So that has been exactly our focus. After the youth activity we had in our area are investigators moved from non progressing families to youth who have been prepared and have the strongest desire to have the truth and happiness in their lives. Their names are Josephine, Melanie, Cherry May, Veronica, TJ, Mark Joseph, Ganarose, Daichan, Shela, Jennyrose, and 3 other sisters and they are all youth and have all gone to church and all want to be baptized. Alot of them are classmates so they just fellowship each other, go to classes together, read the BOM together and come closer to Christ together.

I can't stress enough how all of this has come from the will of God and his desire for us to receive these blessings and the chance for us to help guide them into this happy lifestyle is by far the greatest thing I have even witnessed or have had the opportunity to be apart of. I am way happy here and I am hyped for the next 16 months.

Our community service project this week was just going around random people's houses and cleaning them. #lighttheworld

Week 35

Hello My friends and family

It was a fantastic week. The past couple of weeks have been a little difficult in finding success even though Elder Obias and I are doing our best being perfectly obedient in finding and teaching. We could just not find the people who are ready for our message. After much prayer and fasting for the ward and investigators we were way blessed.

We had a Stake youth Christmas party last Friday and the missionaries sang a song and then we left to work. Before we went out to work we later found out that there were a bunch of Investigators in our area that attended the event. So that next day we contacted as much as them as we could to invite them to church. On Sunday we had 9 new investigators come to church even though we've only taught them once or not at all. Way blessed to be here during this Christmas time and be a missionary here. It probably sounds like EH to all you guys, but this really meant so much to me and my companion.

I love the support and prayers that you all give me and I continue to grow and understand how the Lord works everyday. I keep studying and I am honestly just having a blast. I can't really describe the events and feelings that occur everyday, but it's pretty spectacular to take part of the latter day work.

Happy Thanksgiving? lol I forgot about it

We told these kids that we could walk on water and now they think we are Gods
I am going to move here one day
